Biography:
In 1974, Alexander Piskunov graduated from the F.E. Dzerzhinsky military academy with a degree in military radio engineering, and in 1980 took an adjunct course at the same academy. He also studied at the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation and the Business School in London. Candidate of Sciences in Economics, corresponding member of RARAS and RANS.
- Piskunov served at the Plesetsk spaceport in Arkhangelsk region from 1974 to 1990.
People’s Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR (1990-1993), Chairman of the Deputy group «North», Deputy Chairman of the Committee on defense and security.
Adviser to the 1st Deputy Minister of defense of the Russian Federation (1993).
