Born on January 10, 1961. In 1987, he graduated from the All-Union Law Correspondence Institute. In 1990, he defended his Cand of law degree thesis at the graduate school of ALCI.
Since 1990, he worked as a teacher, then as a senior teacher and associate Professor of the Department of civil procedure. Since 1994, he combines teaching work with various administrative positions at MSLU. He was the Dean of the full-time faculty. Since 2002, he served as the First Vice-rector for academic Affairs. Since 2003, he has been the head of the Department of civil procedure. Since the mid-90s, he has been a member of the author’s teams of all textbooks and manuals, as well as scientific and practical commentaries on legislation published by the Department of civil and arbitration processes. Developed a special course on arbitration process.

Adviser to the Chairman of the state Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov on a voluntary basis.
He took an active part in the development of Federal laws «On the bar», «On enforcement proceedings», «On psychiatric care and guarantees of citizens’ rights in its provision». Member of the Commission for consideration of comments and suggestions received during the discussion of the draft Federal law «On education in the Russian Federation». Regularly provides advice to law enforcement and other government agencies.
Awarded a number of state awards, including the Medal of the Order of merit for the Fatherland, II degree (2013), the medal «Council of the Federation.20 years» (2014). Winner of the highest legal award «Lawyer of the year» in the special category «For contribution to the development of civil society» in 2012.
